We are currently looking to add a talented Business Analyst to the IT – Business Intelligence & Analysis department in the Portland, Oregon CREA office.

Physical Presence: Hybrid, In-office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for defining, planning, and implementing business process initiatives within the IT department of a real estate investment syndicator.  The candidate will work primarily on projects aimed at delivering valuable Business Intelligence-related solutions and will serve as the development team’s primary liaison with business users and subject matter experts. The BA will work with business groups to understand their needs and identify opportunities and be able to effectively translate their findings into project plans and deliverables such as project charters, use cases, activity flowcharts, system diagrams, user stories, user testing scripts, training materials, cost-benefit analysis, and other process documentation. The candidate will also assist with creation of IT-department policies and procedures, especially those related to DevOps. The candidate must be an effective communicator able to work both independently and in collaboration with others, including technical and non-technical business stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, computer science, or a related field and some previous experience working in a business analyst role. Experience working in financial services, especially real estate and tax credit investment analysis is preferred. Work with Microsoft Office applications: Teams, SharePoint, and Office are required; and Power BI and/or Power Apps are preferred.  Communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across CREA departments on projects.  Minimal business travel of up to 5% may be required.
