Position Summary:

CREA, LLC is a full-service Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Syndicator forming long-term relationships with investors and developers that cultivate success and improve lives.  As CREA celebrates 20 years in business, over $7.1 billion has been raised, contributing to the formation of over 60,000 homes within 678 properties. Approaching over 120 employees we continue to look for talented and passionate individuals who are excited about opportunities to grow with into the future.  We are currently looking to add talent for the position of Payroll Construction Analyst to work out of our headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.:

  • Performing pre-construction analysis of documents relating to site work, plans and specifications, construction schedules, and budgets for multi-family housing projects
  • Analyze risks associated with new construction and rehabilitation of proposed developments
  • Locate, manage, and review 3rd Party Consultants with their pre-construction analysis and construction monitoring reports
  • Prepare and present detailed Committee Memos based on analysis
  • Review monthly construction draw requests and approve equity draw requests in coordination with Asset Management
  • Travels to project sites to perform construction monitoring inspections when necessary
  • Produce well written reports based on site inspection
  • Facilitate capital needs assessments on portfolio real estate projects when required
  • Enter and track Project specific construction data into CREA’s integrated web-based software
  • Work closely with other departments within CREA

 

Requirements:

This entry-level position requires a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field. Knowledge of residential construction operations and design is a plus.  Recent college graduates with applicable academic training in construction management and candidates with up to five years of experience will be considered. Candidate must have the ability to interpret plans and technical specifications for construction projects specifically geo-technical reports, environmental reports, and site work evaluations. Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel. Approximate 25% travel time, including overnights, throughout the continental United States is required for this position.
