Desktop Support Intern

Position Summary:

This is a full-time temporary position with CREA, lasting approximately 12 weeks during the summer.  The Desktop Support Intern is responsible for monitoring and responding to tickets submitted by CREA employees regarding hardware, software, networking and other miscellaneous technical requests.

  • Responds to telephone calls and walk-up requests for technical support from CREA employees
  • Diagnoses technical problems through effective troubleshooting
  • Resolves problems with networks, hardware and/or software
  • Installs software and participates in hardware refresh projects wherein laptop computers are replaced with newer models
  • Direct unresolved issues to the Desktop Support Administrator
  • Documents all communication and solutions within every ticket
  • Other special projects driven by CREA business needs as assigned by manager



Requires Junior or Senior standing towards a bachelor’s undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology or a related IT field.  Candidate must have working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server and Microsoft Office.  Experience with the Zendesk Help Desk platform, computer networking or utilizing computer imaging tools is a plus.  Must possess and be able to demonstrate effectiveness with each of the following Key Attributes.
