Financial Analyst, Syndications

Position Summary:

The Analyst in CREA’s Syndications department located in Boston, Massachusetts or Indianapolis, Indiana will report to the Managing Director of the Syndication & Investor Relations group.  This individual will be part of an energetic, growing CREA department working in the affordable housing industry.  Primary responsibilities will be to assist in the preparation of investor’s financial models and presentation materials, information grids, and benefits schedules.  Job responsibilities will also include:

  • Prepare investor-specific charts, grids, tables outlining investment parameters and comparisons;
  • Prepare investor financial models and benefits schedules;
  • Assist in the coordination of the third-party review process for properties in national funds and other investor outlets as needed;
  • Assist in the preparation of and updates to sales materials for fund offerings;
  • Assist with due diligence reviews for investors;
  • Update and monitor deal pipelines for assigned accounts;
  • Assist in closings at upper tier partnership level including closing documentation prep and post-closing follow-ups;
  • Prepare materials and work with manager to organize sales meetings as needed;
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from investors and team members;
  • Assist other team members in their responsibilities; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director

Requirements:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Real Estate; [one to two years of professional experience in real estate underwriting, finance, and analysis is preferred].   Individual needs to be a highly motivated, self-starter who is dependable, detail-oriented and capable of working in a productive independent fashion, as well as part of a team.  Some travel up to 10% may be required.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is a must with a heavy emphasis on Excel and Word. Overtime hours expected during certain busy seasons of the year. Must possess and be able to demonstrate effectiveness with each of the Key Attributes.
