Portfolio Management Summer Intern

Position Summary:

This is a full-time temporary position with CREA, LLC (CREA), lasting approximately 12 weeks during summer.   The candidate will assist in performing the following duties for the Portfolio Management Department:

  • Gather data and statistics to provide financial analysis of partnerships and Funds
  • Prepare portions of quarterly investor reports
  • Update tax credit asset management software with overview data and key information on Funds and Investors
  • Assist Fund Analysts with preparation of information for annual projections review
  • Assist Asset Managers with construction draws
  • Assist with preparation of special reporting and data entry in online database
  • Other project-related activities as driven by CREA’s business needs

Successful associates will gain experience in understanding the development of operating projections within the real estate environment and the relationships between certain categories of revenue and expenses with that same environment.  The associate will also be introduced to the fundamentals of the Low-Income Tax Credit (LIHTC) industry.

Requirements:

Requires Junior or Senior standing towards a bachelor’s undergraduate degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or other business-related field.   Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Must possess and be able to demonstrate effectiveness with each of the following Key Attributes. Will become familiar with other databases and other research tools during their tenure of employment.
