With offices headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, we are currently looking to add talent for the newly created position of Vice President, Real Estate Market Research in our Indianapolis, IN office.
Primary duties will include evaluating real estate markets and economic data for Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties on a national basis. The results of these studies will be an integral part of our investment evaluation.
Economic and demographic data will be collected through online sources, interviews with property managers and local stakeholders. Comparable property data will be collected in order to evaluate the competitive advantages and disadvantages within the primary market area. Site visits will be a key tool in evaluating each investment.
The results of your evaluation and analysis will be included in market study reports presented to Investment Committees. Successful candidates will effectively communicate the strengths and weaknesses of each investment and the primary market areas.
Additional duties may include evaluating underperforming properties, the current market conditions for properties undergoing exit strategy reviews, developing market study analysts and general market analysis within the industry.
The Vice President-Real Estate Market Research will report to the Senior Vice President-Chief Credit Officer and enjoy the opportunity to develop this newly created position for a leading LIHTC Syndicator.
Minimum academic requirement includes bachelor’s degree in real estate finance, urban planning, economics or other related fields. Minimum of five to ten years’ experience in LIHTC research or market analysis is required; a NCHMA Professional Member Designation is preferred or must be obtained within 24 months from the date of hire. Candidate should possess an expertise in real estate principles and investment analysis. Successful candidate will be motivated, a self-starter, possess efficient time management skills and willing to accept new responsibilities as our business grows. Position requires proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Approximately 50% travel will be required, with overnight trips as necessary.
